Experience the Vasaloppet Arena all year round!

In the northern part of Dalarna are the three communities of Malung-Sälen, Älvdalen and Mora. Through these communities runs one of the world’s most famous ski competitions – Vasaloppet. Every year this competition attracts tens of thousands of participants and at least as many visitors in connection both with this race, and with the other competitions which form Vasaloppet Winter Week. In the Vasaloppet Arena – the world’s longest and narrowest sports arena, 90 km long and 10 metres wide – things are happening all the year round!

Vasaloppet Winter Week now has a twin snow free Summer Week. And also, during the snow free months of the year, the whole Vasaloppet course becomes a first-class hiking trail, Vasaloppsleden. There is so much more to discover and experience close by as well, everything from genuine local handicrafts to extreme sports and events.

The region is one of Scandinavia’s most well-visited districts. Apart from the tourist attractions, local trade and industry is rich and varied, embracing both major companies and smaller businesses.
